Who am I?

I am a carnivorous mammal, I feed on other animals such as wild boars, deer or rabbits, which I hunt in a pack (a group of wolves). Dogs are my closest cousins, they evolved from wolves which humans domesticated as pets thousands of years ago!

Contrary to my fairytale reputation, I am not truly a danger to humans. But due to the shrinking of open nature where I hunt, I sometimes attack your sheep, which drives some of you to call for my eradication. I am now protected in Europe but people can still hunt me in Russia, Canada and the USA.
