I am surely the most secretive of the big cats, hence my nickname: “The Phantom of the Mountain”. My magnificent coat camouflages me on the rocks, and my tail is as long as the rest of my body. I roam across immense territories in the steep mountains of Central Asia where I hunt my favorite preys (goats and wild mountain sheep). Although I try to remain inconspicuous, my species suffers from the degradation and disappearance of our habitat due to human activity, from poaching and increased conflicts with local communities.
