Spain, woodland and marquis.
Like the cat and lion, I belong to the Felidae family. Of a shy nature, I come out mostly at night in the forest. Like all lynx, I can easily be recognised by my fur with black spots, the tufts of hair atop my triangular ears and my short tail. I am solitary, I only interact with other lynx to mate or defend my territory.
I will hunt partridges and fieldmice occasionally, but mostly feed on rabbits. My French cousin prefers chamois and roe deer.
I am a very endangered species, and can only be found in 2 Spanish natural parks where efforts are being made to allow me to survive. I used to be found in many places in Spain and Portugal but poaching and the diminution of my natural habitat during the 20th century left me no other option than retreat to these protected areas.
