Who am I?
I am a carnivorous mammal but I am mostly famous for being the fastest land animal on the planet. I can reach 100 kilometres per hour ! I need this incredible speed when hunting the gazelles I feed upon.
I am often mistaken for another African feline: the leopard. However, save for our black spots we are very different ! We both live in Africa but I prefer the savanna and hunt during the day.
I am now protected, but remain endangered because I need vast hunting grounds, which are increasingly settled upon by humans, who also kill me to protect their cattle.
