Crocodile

Like with all crocodiles, one quickly realises when one looks at me that I have kept my prehistoric look. We belong to the reptile class and live close to rivers. Some crocodiles can live up to 100 years and reach up to 7 metres in length! I’m not so big myself, I only measure about 3 metres. I feed on fish that I hunt in the rivers of South Asia, but the places where I can be found are becoming increasingly rare: I am the crocodile most threatened with extinction. Indeed, I am a victim of poaching for my skin and eggs which are sold to collectors, but also of the shrinking of my living space. However in Thailand for example, programs exist aiming at better protecting us!
