China
I belong to the bear family. Although quite imposing, my docile character and endearing look makes me very popular all over the globe. My peculiar fur protects me from cold in the mountains of China where I live.
I can be found in the forests of bamboo, which is my only source of food. However to feed I need to eat 20 kilos of it every day, which does not leave much time for anything else!
The growth of agriculture in China is driving deforestation, which puts my species in danger. I have in fact become a symbol for the protection of endangered species.
For example the WWF, a global organisation for the protection of nature, has turned my image into their logo. This way I hope that, as the illustrious ambassador for threatened animals, I can keep living in my precious forests for a long time!
