Who am I?
With the kangaroo, I can boast being one of the most famous ambassador for Australia! It is in fact the only place you will find me. Although I look like a small bear I belong to a different Class: marsupials. An herbivore, I feed exclusively on eucalyptus leaves.
In Aborigines language “koala” means “who does not drink”, because the foliage I eat gives me most of the hydration I need. Therefore I live in the eucalyptus tree and can sleep almost 20 hours a day! I am now endangered because the forests in which I live are being replaced by human buildings. So in order to save me, save my forests!
