Where do I live?
The east Australian coast.
Who am I?
Hi, it’s me, Hippocampus whitei ! Also known as White’s Seahorse, I am on average 8 cm in size but can measure up to 15 cm. I swim at depths of between 1 and 25 metres in eastern Australia and I live in protected coastal bays and estuaries.
I was named in the honour of English surgeon and naturalist John White.
