Africa
I am the biggest of all gazelles. I am white save for my neck and part of my back, which is reddish-brown. I live in North Africa, in the steppes of the Sahel. Like all gazelles I am an herbivore, eating grass and leaves. I can run at speeds up to 100 kilometres per hour to escape my natural predators, the leopard and the Northwest African cheetah (itself sadly now almost extinct).
But the true danger does not come from them: humans continuously hunt me and with so much success I am now facing extinction. To prevent this tragedy, there is now a reintroduction program aiming at saving my species.
